T-20 Cricket: Seventh National Tournament for Disabled to start in Ranchi today

Seventh National Twenty20 Cricket Tournament for the disabled will start in Ranchi today. In a statement, Secretary General of Indian Cricket Federation for Disabled, AW Siddiqui said that 16 teams from various states and zones are taking part in the three-day event. The players having 40 per cent to 90 per cent physical disabilities, even amputees of upper and lower limbs will take part in this tournament. During the matches, the federation would introduce soft leather ball for the first time and the Twenty20 tournament will be played on knock-out basis. He said, the matches will be played at Mecon, JL Nehru Stadium, and Steel Authority of India Limited grounds.
