Syria is ready to reopen peace talks with Israel, with Turkey serving as a mediator.Turkish President Abdullah Gul has said this at a joint press conference with his Syrian counterpart Bashar al-Asad after a meeting in Istanbul today.Israel and Syria held four indirect rounds of talks with Turkish mediation in 2008 but they were suspended after start of Gaza war in December 2008.<br/>Earlier two presidents also presided the signing ceremony of two agreements for cooperation in news publishing and media exchanges as well as on joint use of two border crossings between Turkey and Syria.<br/> <br/>
