In Syria, Government forces have retaken a key water pumping station in Aleppo from Islamic State, IS group. UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said, Government forces took over the area of Al-Khafsa and seized the water-pumping station, after the terrorists fled the area in the face of a Syrian Forces offensive backed by Russian air strikes.<br/><br/>The state-run Sana news agency, quoting a military source, said that dozens of militants had been killed in the operation. The facility which supplies Syria's second-largest city, Aleppo, with most of its fresh water, was shuttered by IS fighters nearly eight weeks ago, forcing the city's 1.5 million residents to rely on local wells and private vendors for critical supplies.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, top Turkish, Russian and U.S. military officials met in Turkey to discuss closer co-ordination in Syria. The three-way talks focused on how to avoid clashes between rival forces in the fight against IS.
