In Syria, about 31,500 people, including rebel fighters and their families, have left the opposition-held town of Al-Tal, under a deal with the government. Britain based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that the people were taken in buses out of town and transported to Idlib province.<br/><br/>Al-Tal is the sixth such town in three months to be evacuated in local reconciliation agreements. According to United Nations reports, civilians have fled to Jibreen in eastern Aleppo, Kurdish-inhabited Sheikh Maqsood. Meanwhile, Government forces have captured more than half of the rebel-held besieged territory this week.<br/><br/>Syrian Observatory for Human Rights head Rami Abdel Rahman said rebels put up fierce resistance in the southeastern outskirts of the battered city, but government forces closed in on opposition territory from the east.
