In Syria, atleast 17 people were killed and more than 40 others injured in the rocket and artillery fire in the rebel held place east of Aleppo. Russian Defense Ministry spokesman today said rebels have opened fire at a group of civilians, who gathered for a protest. <br/><br/>He said that residents of terrorist-held districts continue protests and attempts to cross into Government controlled areas. Fighting is continuing in Aleppo, as pro-government forces trying to advance into opposition-held areas in a renewed attempt to retake the entire city. <br/><br/>Meanwhile, UN's Syria humanitarian Adviser, Jan Egeland, has said east Aleppo faced a bleak moment with less supplies because of winter setting in. He said that virtually all warehouses are empty and many families are running out of food.
