In the Syed Modi India International Badminton tournament, Indian pair of Tanisha Crasto and Ashwini Ponnappa lost to Japan's Rin Iwanaga and Kie Nakanish in the women's doubles final. After losing the first game 14-21, the Indian pair fought back and won the second game 21- 17. However, the Japanese pair won the third game 21-15 to lift the title.
