On the first day of the Sydney Test match, Australia ended their day with complete command. In the fourth and final test match of the series, Australia were 348 for 2 when the stumps were drawn. For Australia, their opening batsman gave a solid start as David Warner and Chris Rogers stitched up a 200 run partnership. Warner smashed his third century of the series, he scored 101 before Ashwin took his wicket. Soon after his Chris Rogers was bowled by Shami,after that Skipper Steven Smith and Shane Watson steadied the Australian innings.
