Space experts, academics and mining companies are meeting in the Australian city of Sydney to discuss the possibility of extracting minerals and precious metals from asteroids and planets. Some scientists argue that despite the huge expense and technical difficulties involved, remote-controlled mining of asteroids or even the moon might be only ten years away.
