India's P.V. Sindhu and Parupalli Kashyap have entered the semi-finals of the singles event in the Swiss Grand Prix Gold badminton tournament. In the women's quarter-final at Basel today, Sindhu stunned the recently-crowned All England champion Shixian Wang trouncing her straight in games 21-17, 21-15 in a 45-minute match. Sindhu will clash with another fast emerging Chinese Sun Yu. In the Men's Singles contest , Parupalli Kashyap overcame sixth seed Tien Chen Chou of Chinese Taipei in three games 21-15, 21-23, 21-18. Kashyap will face world number 27 Houwei Tian of China in the semifinals. However, Olympic bronze medallist Saina Nehwal bowed out of the tournament when she lost to world number three Yihan Wang in straight games 17-21, 12-21 in her quarter-final fixture.
