Swine flu toll rises to 16 in Orissa

In Orissa, deaths due to swine flu have risen to 16. According to official sources, swab of 205 people have been tested at the Regional Medical Research Centre at Bhubaneswar since July, this year. Of this, 71 samples have been tested positive with H1N1 virus. While 16 of them have died due to the deadly flu, 11 are still under medical supervision in different hospitals of the state. The Orissa government has said 1.5 lakh swine flu vaccines are available in the open market and huge quantity of Tami Flu tablets and liquid have also been supplied to different hospitals.Prakash Dash, Bhubaneswar, Mail, 1305 hrs
