The Madras High Court has turned down an application seeking the court to directly monitor the probe into the killing of software engineer Swathi. Rejecting the petition, the division bench consisting of Justices Nagamuthu and Bharathidasan came down heavily on media trial and questioned how the recorded statement of the arrested accused appears in the press.
