'Swarnim Vijay Varsh' victory flame received at Air Force Station Adampur

<span style="color: #222222;">As part of 'Swarnim Vijay Varsh' celebration commemorating 50 years of the 1971 war triumph against Pakistan, one of the victory flames was received today at Air Force Station Adampur. The flame was received in a grand reception by Air Commodore GKJ Reddy. On the occasion many Air veterans were felicitated for their invaluable contribution towards the nation. The ceremony was also attended by next of kin of Late Flying Officer Nirmaljit Singh Sekhon.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Air Officer Commanding Adampur, in his address to the gathering, highlighted the role of Air Force Station Adampur during the 1971 Indo-Pak War and exhorted the present generation of air warriors to emulate the highest standards of professional excellence. During the war SU-7 and MIG-21 aircraft from the base operated over Shakargarh and Chhamb battlefields losing 09 pilots, killed in action. </span><br />''
