Swarnim Vijay Varsh Victory Flame reached at Khardongla pass, the world’s highest motorable road yesterday. India is celebrating the 50th anniversary of military victory over Pakistan in 1971 with commemorative events in different parts of the country. AIR Leh correspondent reports that this year mark the golden victory year of India’s victory over Pakistan in 1971.<br />”<br />”<span style="color: #000000;">The Swarnim Vijay Varsh Victory Flame at Khardongla pass, the world highest motorable road welcomed with solemn ceremony of reception with a grand welcome by army personnel, veterans, local residents and tourists. The Army paid rich tributes to the bravehearts of 1971 War as part of the ongoing Swarnim Vijay Varsh celebrations to commemorate 50 years of India’s victory in the 1971 Indo-Pakistan War. Also Veterans from the Nubra Valley of Leh district paid their obeisance to the fallen soldiers to recognise the efforts of the forces and their families during the 1971 War. The Veterans also handed over the pious soil from Khardung La to be taken to National War Memorial, Delhi.</span><br />
