Noted agricultural scientist Professor M S Swaminathan has asked the Journalists to play a more proactive role in highlighting issues that affect the farming community. He was speaking at the concluding session of a three day workshop organised by the Rajya Sabha secretariat. Expressing concern about the chronic malnutrition among children in the country, he said media should take more interest in these burning issues. A member of the Rajya House, Prof Swaminathan highlighted how if agriculture goes wrong nothing else will have a chance to go right in the country. He said if agriculture goes right, the vision of a hunger and poverty free India can become a reality.<br/>
