Swachh Bharat Week will be observed from 25th of this month till 2nd of October. Briefing media in New Delhi today, Secretary Drinking Water and Sanitation Parameswaran Iyer said, country wide awareness programmes has been planned during this period. <br/><br/>Briefing media, Secretary Human Resources Development Vinay Sheel Oberoi said, the Ministry has observed Swachhta Pakhwada in Educational Institutions from 1st to 15th September. He said, educational institutions are key to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of Swachh Bharat.<br/><br/>Secretary School Education Subhas Chandra Khuntia said, children using toilets in schools have started demanding toilets in homes too and it can lead to better outcomes towards Swachh Bharat. He added that 'Swachh Vidylaya Puraskar',the award instituted by ministry of HRD to recognize excellence in sanitation in schools, has created a healthy competition among schools to keep their premises clean.
