Swachh Bharat survey: Competition augurs well for nation, says PM

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said Swachh Survekshan 2017 offers an extensive picture on where Indian cities stand on cleanliness and the roadmap ahead. <br/><br/>Responding to comments in favour of it on Twitter yesterday, he said credit goes to 125 crore Indians who make Swachh Bharat initiative successful and have pledged to build clean India. <br/><br/>After congratulating the top 10 cities which were rated the cleanest, Mr Modi said healthy competition augurs well for the country. <br/><br/>Swachh Survekshan 2017 was released yesterday by Union Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu. It rated 434 cities for cleanliness in January and February.
