Tourism and Culture Minister Mahesh Sharma today said Swachh Bharat Mission played a big role in improving global perception of India. Addressing a press conference in New Delhi this afternoon, Mr Sharma said the government has taken various initiatives towards the Swachh Bharat campaign, including launch of a toll free helpline 1363 for tourists. <br/><br/>Mr Sharma said, the Culture Ministry has declared polythene free zone at all Archaeological Survey of India, ASI, protected monuments. He said, 350 crore rupees has sanctioned to provide facilities like protected boundaries, toilets and disabled friendly access in all ASI protected monuments. The Minister said, despite the menace of terrorism, India has risen to be a favorite destination for foreign tourists.
