Urban Development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu has said, Swachh Bharat Mission has gained significant momentum over the last three years and has become the biggest ever mass mobilization to make the country clean. <br/><br/>Mr Naidu said this while addressing the 9th foundation day celebration of the Foundation for Restoration of National Values in New Delhi today. He said, women are playing a key role in the Swachh Bharat movement. <br/><br/>The Minister said, more that 33 lakh individual household toilets and over one lakh 28 thousand community toilet seats have been built so far. Mr Naidu said, 688 cities have been declared Open Defecation free (ODF) so far. He added that Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat have declared all cities and towns as ODF. <br/><br/>The Minister said, in a short span of time Swachh Bharat Mission has become a people's movement and it is only because of involvement of public representatives, Self help groups, media and NGOs.
