<span style="color: #222222;">Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs Hardeep Singh Puri today said that Swachh Bharat Mission, SBM, has become a people's movement through active participation by the public. <br />''<br />''He said what started as a government project in 2014 has become a people's movement to effect a behavioural change in society to realise a clean India. The Minister was speaking after launching Swachh Survekshan League 2020 in New Delhi. The fifth edition of the annual cleanliness survey will be conducted in January next year. <br />''<br />''Mr Puri said the survey aims to institutionalize the concept of total Swachhata among all the cities. He reiterated Prime Minister Narendra Modi's appeal to the public that a fitting tribute to Mahatma Gandhi would be to achieve total cleanliness across the country. <br />''<br />''Our correspondent reports the Minister launched "Swachh Nagar Mobile App" with features such as tracking of waste collection by Urban Local Bodies and an effective grievance redressal mechanism. It can be downloaded from Google Play Store. Mr Puri also launched Artificial Intelligence-enabled mSBM App with an objective to verify and approve toilets by significantly reducing the processing time for applicants.</span><br />
