Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Venkaiah Naidu has said that Swachch Bharat Abhiyan is India's growing people's movement today. <br/><br/>He said, the mission is emerging as a mega model initiative supported by one and all cutting across political affiliations and other considerations. <br/><br/>Mr. Naidu said this while addressing the Swachchgraha event organised by the Cochin Port Trust in Kochi this evening. He complimented the Kerala Government for making headway in cleanliness drives.<br/><br/>Mr. Naidu expressed satisfaction over the progress of various ongoing Centrally sponsored Urban Development schemes in the State. <br/><br/>In his felicitation, Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman P.J. Kurien said, though Keralities are keen in personal hygiene, they are yet to come of age in social hygiene. This should change, he said.<br/> <br/>Kerala Minister K.T. Jaleel said, rural areas in the State will be made Open Defecation Free by the 01st of November and urban areas by January next year. <br/> <br/>Mr. Venkaiah Naidu administered Swachch Bharat Pledge to the audience on the occasion.
