Union Minister of state for Agriculture and Farmers welfare Mrs. Krishna Raj said that Swachatha hi Sewa campaign will safeguard environment through proper sanitation. <br/><br/>Speaking to mediapersons today after flagging off Swachatha hi Sewa campaign van at Rameswaram, she said diseases can be prevented by keeping the surroundings clean. The Minister said that Swachatha campaigns are being held all over the country as per Prime Minister's vision of Swachatha hi Sewa. <br/><br/>Talking about fishermen welfare she said the central government is implementing Rs 40 lakh scheme to give 50 per cent subsidy to buy deep sea fishing boats. This will help fishermen get better fish catch and improve their livelihood, she added.
