These special theme based and ethnic polling stations are meant to give enhanced feeling to the voters and encourage them to cast their vote. The theme based polling stations will reflect local flavour. Close to 300 theme based polling stations are planned across the state. The coastal districts of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi will have Yakshagana dance form and Kambala sports as a theme depicted on the booths.
