SVEEP Committee to establish theme based, ethnic polling stations during Karnataka Assembly elections 2023

<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #222222;">The Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) Committee will establish theme based and ethnic polling stations during the May 10 Assembly election in Karnataka. These special theme based and ethnic polling stations are meant to give enhanced feeling to the voters and encourage them to cast their vote. More from our Correspondent  reports that the ethnic polling stations are designed as tribal huts with the pictures depicting tribal lifestyle of Kadu and Jenu Kurubas.</span></p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><br />''</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #222222;">Around 40 ethnic booths will come up in Mysuru, Chamarajanagar, Kodagu, Dakshina Kannada and Udupi. The theme based polling stations will reflect local flavour. Close to 300 theme based polling stations are planned across the state. The coastal districts of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi will have Yakshagana dance form and Kambala sports as a theme depicted on the booths. In the heritage city Mysuru Palaces and Mysuru Jasmine will be the theme.</span></p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><br />''</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #222222;">In the historical city of Chitradurga, the fort and brave historical personality Onake Obavva will be the theme. Coorg will have coffee plantations and wildlife conservation. In Bagalkote ILKAL saree and in Bidar, Bidriware craft will be depicted on the theme based polling booths. </span></p>
