Lawyers for Myanmar's democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi have filed an appeal in a Yangon court on Friday against her sentence of 18-month house arrest. <br/>Ms Suu Kyi was not allowed to appear in court in person. Official sources said that the court will deliver its judgment on the appeal at a later date.<br/>The appeal was filed a month after Aung San Suu Kyi was found guilty of violating the terms of her house arrest.
