The Myanmar's pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi is expected to address her supporters later today. She is planned to meet diplomats and members of her party at its headquarters in Rangoon before making a speech and talking to journalists. Earlier, the Myanmar government has said that the pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi is completely free and there is no condition attached to her release. The 65 year old leader and winner of Nobel Peace prize was released yesterday. India, United States and United Nations have welcomed her release. Describing it as a step towards national reconciliation, External Affairs Minister S M Krishna said that New Delhi is confident that the release of Suu Kyi will contribute to efforts for a more inclusive approach to political change and reforms. Welcoming the decision, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has asked Myanmar government to begin an all inclusive dialogue with pro-democracy leader. In a statement, Clinton said, the government should also immediately and unconditionally release all of Myanmar's 2,100 political prisoners. UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has said that he expects no further restrictions will be placed on her. In a statement issued from Seoul, Ban also urged the Myanmar authorities to build on the action by releasing all remaining political prisoners. Suu Kyi has been under detention for most of the past two past decades.
