Expectations are high that the Myanmar's pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi will be released today. The opposition leader could have gone free last night, but negotiations were still on about the conditions of her release. Military leader Than Shwe is said to have signed her release order and she has received the papers. Roads have been blocked around her lakeside home and truckloads of police were in attendance last night.
