Suspended Trinamool Congress MP Kunal Ghosh has been arrested in connection with the Saradha Chit fund scam.

The Bidhan Nagar police chief Rajiv Kumar told AIR that the arrest has been made on the charges of his alleged invlovement in the Chit fund scam.

The police are interogating him now. He will be produced before the court on Sunday.

Kunal Ghosh was the head of the Saradha media group. The party had suspended him following the allegations against him.

The police have already arrested the prime accused in the scam and Chairman of the group Sudipta Sen and two others.
