In the Aurangabad city of Maharashtra, One person suspected to be an activist of the banned Student Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) was killed in an an encounter with police on Monday. Two others were captured by the Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) following.One ATS head constable Shaikh Arif has sustained injuries as one of the bullets fired at a close range hit him in the left hand. Arif and the suspected SIMI activists Mohammad Shaker Hussain have been admitted to the government medical college and hospital. The suspect killed in the encounter was identified as Khalil alias Azar Kureshi.
