In Andhra Pradesh, a building of the State Forest Development Corporation was damaged in a blast that was suspected to have been triggered by Maoists early this morning at Cherpalli village. Police said on Sunday that the incident took place in Chintapalli mandal of Visakhapatnam district. Computers and television sets were stolen from the building. Police suspect that the Maoists could have damaged the building to protest against the bauxite mining activities in the agency area. The Maoists also resorted to road blockades at Jerrela village by cutting trees.
