A suspected Maoist belonging to People's War Group has been arrested in New Delhi. Disclosing this to reporters, Deputy Commissioner of Police Sanjay Kumar Jain said, the Maoist Pradeep Kumar, hailing from Jharkhand was apprehended from Rohini area yesterday. He said that Pradeep was responsible for killing of Lohardaga Supritendent of Police, whom he attacked in 2000 as a part of the ambush party. Mr Jain said that Pradeep is being questioned by Delhi Police. Mr Jain added that acting on a tip off about his presence in the area a team of Crime Branch laid a trap and caught him. Pradeep was allegedly hiding in Noida since February 2012. He fled to Delhi when there was a crackdown on a Maoist training camp in Saryu forests.
