External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj today spoke to Wrestler Vinesh Phogat who sustained injury during her medal chase at the Rio Olympics. In a tweet, Mrs Swaraj said, Physiotherapist Dr Rucha Kashalkar is attending the injured wrestler and Consulate General of India in Sao Paulo Abhilasha Joshi is in constant touch. Phogat had left a quarterfinal match on a stretcher after she hurt her right knee in the middle of her 48 kg quarterfinal fight. The 21-year-old, who was widely seen as a medal prospect, suffered a ligament tear. Vinesh will have to undergo a surgery for her fractured knee when she returns back home. She is expected to be shifted to Mumbai for the surgery.
