External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has thanked the international community for its support in the re-election of India's Justice Dalveer Bhandari to the International Court of Justice (ICJ). <br/><br/>In a tweet, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said, Mrs Swaraj conveyed India's gratitude to the foreign governments during a reception for the diplomatic community which was also attended by Justice Bhandari. <br/><br/>Sources said, the External Affairs Minister, in her address, particularly mentioned Britain for withdrawing its candidate during the contest which paved the way for Justice Bhandari's re-election.<br/><br/>Justice Bhandari was re-elected to the ICJ on Tuesday as the United Nations General Assembly overwhelmingly threw its weight behind him.
