External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj met Finance Minister of Mauritius, Pravind Kumar Jugnauth, in New Delhi today. Official sources said during the meeting, Mrs Swaraj said that India has always given full support to the development priorities of Mauritius. She said the MoU is being finalised under which the Metro Express project and other projects announced by Mr Jugnauth in his budget could begin to be implemented. <br/><br/>Mrs Swaraj said the longstanding partnership between India and Mauritius has played a critical role in ensuring peace and stability in the Indian Ocean region. Both leaders called for greater collaboration in the area of defence and security. India also offered to provide assistance in terms of hydrographic surveys. The two leaders also discussed their concerns on terrorism and agreed to increase the collaboration in this area.
