Several Union Ministers today assumed charge of their offices. External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, Urban Development and Parliamentary Affairs minister M Venkaiah Naidu, Chemicals and Fertilizers Minister, Ananth Kumar and Water Resources Minister Uma Bharti are among them who assumed their charge.

Maneka Gandhi assumed the charge of Women and Child Department Ministry, Jitendra Singh as Minister of State for Science and Technology while Anant Geete who had been sulking for being given Heavy Industries portfolio also took the charge of Ministry.
