The Congress has said External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj is deliberately pushing the humanitarian angel in the Lalit Modi case to escape her responsibility. Party leader Anand Sharma told reporters in New Delhi , that today's statement by Ms Swaraj contradicts her earlier stand. He alleged that Ms Swaraj did not reveal the entire fact. <br/>The Congress leader said, his party does not agree with the statement of Ms Swaraj and there is no doubt that Lalit Modi was given travel papers only after the intervention of the External Affairs Minister. <br/><br/>Anand Sharma further said, Ms Swaraj did not consult even the then Foreign Secretary, Finance Ministry and the Enforcement Directorate before overruling the objections originally raised and communicated to the UK government by Finance Ministry.
