Union Minister of Power Sushilkumar Shinde today left for Paris on a four day visit to participate in the International Energy Agency (IEA) Ministerial Meeting. He will participate in the two-day meeting beginning tomorrow representing India as a partner country.

An official release said, Mr. Shinde will speak at the session on “Accelerating the Transition to a Secure, Low Carbon Energy Future’ during the IEA Ministerial Meeting. He is also scheduled to hold discussions with Executive Director of IEA Ms. Maria Van der Hoeven on a range of issues including global energy security, enhancing energy access and equality, environmental concerns and efficient use of energy.
