Union Sports Minister Dr. M.S. Gill has congratulated Sushil Kumar on winning the Gold medal at the World Wrestling Championship in Moscow. In his message, Dr. Gill said with this historical win in the World Wrestling Championship, he has made the country proud. He expressed hope that his achievement will inspire others also to bring laurels for the country. Sushil Kumar is first wrestler from India to win a gold medal at the World Wrestling Champion. He got the gold medal in 66 kilogram freestyle category in the World Wrestling Championship in Moscow yesterday. Meanwhile the Railway Minister Ms. Mamta Banerji has announced an award of ten lakh rupees for Sushil Kumar's historic achievement. Congratulating Sushil Kumar for winning the Gold Medal in the World wrestling Championship, Ms Banerjee said that his spectacular achievement is a victory for Rail Pariwar. Sushil Kumar is posted as Assistant Commercial Manager with the Northern Railway.
