The selectors for Women's Hockey Team have named Surinder Kaur as captain of the 18-member Indian squad for the women Hockey World Cup to be held in Rosario, Argentina from August 29 to September 11. The list has been sent to the Sports Ministry for approval.The selectors, including government nominees Ajit Pal Singh and Zafar Iqbal, picked up the players from a pool of 39 probables after trials.Surinder Kaur had led the Indian team at the Asian Women's Champions Trophy at Busan, South Korea last month.Haryana's Rani Rampal and Jasjeet Kaur have been included in the squad.
