External Affairs Minister S M Krishna today said that there has been a surge in Indian investment in Africa. He added that African exports to India have also increased significantly. He was addressing the African Journalists at the Bank Conclave on India-Africa Project Partnership in New Delhi today. Mr Krishna said that the two countries are working together in institutional capacity building, human resource development, science and technological cooperation, enhancing agricultural productivity and food security, development of infrastructure and in other areas. The Minister also expressed hope that the second India-Africa Forum Summit to be held in May this year will further strengthen the bilateral ties. He also informed that three groups on Indian Journalists will be visiting Africa over the next six weeks and India will provide more training slots for African media in some of the leading institutions in the country.
