<br/><br/>Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu today inaugurated regular passenger train between Agartala-Udaipur through video conferencing in the afternoon. The regular train service between Agartala and state's temple-town Udaipur starts from January tomorrow. <br/><br/>At Agartala station, Mr. Badal Chowdhury, State PWD Minister, Manik De, state Transport Minister, Jitendra Chowdhury, MP, Shankar Prasad Dutta, MP were present in the function and jointly inaugurated the train service. <br/><br/>On this occasion, Railway Minister said that it is Prime Minister Narendra Modi's wish to develop North Eastern states like other states of the country. He also said in the coming days there will be increase in the budget for railways in Northeast. <br/>Mr. Prabhu further added that the state of the art technology will be utilized to develop every infrastructure in the North East. He said that railway will contribute at its best to give recognition to the North East to be considered as the most developed part of the country. <br/> <br/>In the southern sector of Tripura, Udaipur is the first city which is getting rail connectivity joining Agartala, the capital of the state. Udaipur is a famous religious destination for Tripureshwari Kali Temple.<br/><br/>Two pairs of trains will run six days a week, except Sunday-one pair in the morning and the other in the evening. There will be five coaches in the train. Between these two ends there will be three more stations namely Sekerkote, Bishalgarh and Bishramganj. <br/>
