Rail Minister Mr Suresh Prabhu today delivered the International keynote address at the two day Middle East Rail conference and exhibition at Dubai. <br/>Middle East Rail has grown to become the largest transport and logistics exhibition in the Middle East , Africa and Asia , with over 10,000 industry professionals attending from around 90 countries. <br/><br/>UAE is innovating to become a global leader in transportation projects and position itself as a global logistics hub. The target is to showcase the developments at Expo 2020 , where one of the key themes will be the future of mobility. Middle East Rail is the region's largest rail exhibition and conference. The Conference will not only bring together transport ministries from the regional markets, but will also welcome rail developers, transport operators, government, contractors and suppliers to talk strategy, technology and innovation for passenger and freight projects.<br/><br/>As the leading rail conference for the regional markets, it will extend its project overviews into the Indian subcontinent and Central Asia. Two day Middle East Rail Conference (7th-8th April 2017) will host over 200 Speakers. Suresh Prabhu is on a three day visit to UAE . During the course of the visit , the Railway Minister has had important meetings with Crown Prince and other important dignitaries. <br/><br/>The focus is on seeking investment in Indian Railways and redevelopment of stations. He also interacted with Indian and foreign investors based in Dubai to seek investment. Senior officers of Railways made a presentation to these investors and developers.
