Suresh Kalmadi questioned by CBI for third time

Commonwealth Games Organising Committee former Chairman Suresh Kalmadi is being questioned by the Central Bureau of Investigation, CBI for the third time today. The Investigating Agency is quizzing him in cases related to alleged irregularities in the conduct of the sporting event. A two-member CBI team has returned from London after carrying out extensive investigations into the Queens baton relay scam. So far, Mr Kalmadi has maintained that he hasn't benefitted a single rupee from the CWG. CBI sources said that AM cars and films – the firm that was contracted for supplying video screens and cars for the Queen's baton relay has informed the investigators about how OC officials like TS Darbari and Sanjay Mohindroo had conspired with them. Sources also claimed that the CBI has got leads of a Hyderabad-based company AKR constructions which is being suspected of being a frontal company for Kalmadi.A sum of 13 crore rupees was allegedly deposited in this firm's account by a Swiss firm that got the time scoring equipment contract.
