<span style="color: #222222;">The Good Samaritan physician from Surat, Dr Sanket Kumar Mehta has been discharged in good health today from a private hospital in Chennai.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The doctor, who is an anaesthetist, recently made headlines when he risked his life by removing his own oxygen support at a Surat hospital heroically to intubate a fellow-Covid patient. In the process, his health deteriorated and was airlifted to Chennai and put on life support in the hospital.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">After his discharge, the physicians of the hospital in Chennai told reporters, Dr Mehta's lungs were in a severely damaged condition and therefore he was put on specialised ECMO care. He was given antiviral and anti-fungal medicines besides giving him other specialised treatments.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Director of the hospital, Dr Prashanth Rajagopalan told reporters in Chennai today, it gives all pride to nurse a hero and a Corona warrior like Dr Mehta back to good health. He lauded Dr Mehta saying he stood by the medical ethics of his profession and helped someone who needed treatment, regardless of his own safety.</span><br />''
