The Supreme Court today reserved its verdict on a petition which has challenged P.J. Thomas' appointment as central vigilance commissioner on the grounds that he was facing a chargesheet in a palm oil imports case and was not an outstanding civil servant of impeccable integrity. An apex court bench of Chief Justice S.H. Kapadia, Justice K.S. Radhakrishnan and Justice Swatantar Kumar said it wants to address all the contentious issues so that the matter should not confront the court again in the future.
