Supreme Court today refused to put ban on crackers on the ocassion of Diwali The apex Court had on 18th of this month asked the Centre and state governments to educate people about the ill effects of crackers and advise them not to use fireworks. <br/><br/>A plea by three infants in the Supreme Court for a ban on firecrackers during Diwali has been objected to in the Supreme Court by various organisations. <br/><br/>The Centre has also indirectly supported them, saying bursting of crackers during Diwali is not the only cause for air pollution.The Centre also said steps have been taken in consultation with state governments to control air pollution during Diwali.
