The Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has said it was necessary to firmly suppress manifestations of extremism from all quarters. Society should understand there must be order. The most important things, said Russian Prime Minister, was that all citizens of Russia no matter what faith or nationality should realize we are all children of one country but the common home. Mr. Putin was speaking the day after Moscow police detained more than 1300 people in an effort to prevent an outbreak of inter-ethnic violence. There have been fears that migrants from the Causes region of southern Russia would clash with Russian ultra-nationalists in different parts of the city.
