Supply of water for treatment plants in Delhi has been restored from Gang Nehar

The supply of water for treatment plants in Delhi has been restored from Gang Nehar in UP.This followed an agreement between the the agitating members of Akhil Bharatiya Jat Reservation Sangharsh Samiti and Ghaziabad district administration .The Samiti is seeking reservation in OBC category in government jobs. A delegation of Samiti will also meet the central authorities to press for their demand. The workers of the Samiti had stopped water supply to the National capital affecting several parts of Delhi. <br/>An emergency meeting of Delhi cabinet was held this afternoon to take stock of the situation. Official sources said that Delhi government has approached centre for intervention for resolution of water crisis. <br/>Delhi government had also approached Haryana government to supply water to Sonia Vihar treatment plant. Our correspondent reports that Delhi Jal Board has pressed into service one thousand one hundred tankers to provide water where its supply has been affected. <br/>
