The Sunni Central Wakf Board today decided to challenge the Allahabad High Court verdict on the Ayodhya title suit in the Supreme Court. The Board said, no person had been authorised to explore possibilities of an out-of-court settlement.The Wakf Board Chairman Zafar Ahmad Farooqui said the decision was taken in an emergency meeting in Lucknow. He said on the basis of the legal advice from experts, it was decided to challenge the verdict in the apex court. No date had yet been fixed on moving the Supreme Court, he said.Meanwhile,the All India Muslim Personal Law Board will hold a crucial meeting on 9th October in New Delhi to analyse the Allahabad High Court verdict on the Ayodhya title dispute and decide its future course of action on the issue. The legal committee of the AIMPLB will prepare a set of recommendations for the working committee to study. Convenor of the Board S R Ilyas said the working committee will meet on the 16th of October in Lucknow to decide their next course of action.
