Former Commonwealth champion Sunil Kumar had to settle for a Silver medal in the AIBA 3 Star China Cup Boxing tournament. In the 51 kg category finals in Guiyang City today, Sunil Kumar fought hard but lost to Olympic champion Zou Shiming. The 21-year-old Haryana-boxer was neck and neck with his Chinese rival before losing the plot in the final three minutes to go down 2-4. Sunil, therefore, had to be content with a silver medal and 2,000 U.S. dollars prize money. Four other Indians in fray had lost in the semifinals yesterday to settle for bronze medals and 1,000 U.S. dollars each. The tournament featured 102 boxers from 19 countries.
