The AIIMS administration has categorically denied the allegation leveled by Dr. Sudhir Gupta that he was pressurized to change the post mortem report of Sunanda Pushkar, wife of former Union Minister Shashi Tharoor. Briefing media in New Delhi today AIIMS media department Chairperson Neerja Bhatla said that there was no pressure on Dr Gupta from anybody to change the post mortem report.
Dr Sudhir Gupta, who headed the panel that conducted Sunanda's postmortem, had filed an affidavit in Central Administrative Tribunal, revealing that he was forced by two former Ministers of UPA government to report normal death in the autopsy report of Sunanda Pushkar. She was found dead in January this year in a five star hotel in New Delhi under mysterious circumstances.
