Summit clash of Santosh Trophy between West Bengal and Kerala is on at Payyanad Stadium in Manjeri

In the 75th Santosh Trophy National Football Tournament, the summit clash between 32-time champions West Bengal and hosts Kerala is on at Payyanad Stadium at Manjeri in Malappuram.

Kerala won the trophy six times in the past, while West Bengal has the advantage of being the most successful team to win the championship, having won the trophy 32 times from 45 final encounters.

Kerala and West Bengal have met thrice overall and all the three times, Kerala has come out victorious. Two of the three wins have been clear victories, while the remaining one was decided on penalties. The two sides have met in the Santosh Trophy this year previously and it was Kerala that came out as a winner, with a 2-Nil scoreline at full-time.

Kerala's Bino George Chiramal has decided to go with a completely unchanged side that started against Karnataka in the semifinal.

West Bengal's Ranjan Bhattacharjee made one change from its last match against Manipur. The team starts with five defenders, with Nabi Hussain Khan coming on to replace Basu Deb Mandi.
